Easy, affordable, melt in your mouth shortbread cookies. They come together in no time, and are so light and buttery.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Butter, room temperature, salted
- 3/4 cup Confectioners Sugar
- 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 3/4 cup Cornstarch
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl beat butter and confectioners sugar for 2-3 minutes.
- Sift flour and cornstarch in the bowl and beat only until combined.
- Scoop and roll into 24 equal sized cookie balls and place on pre-lined baking sheet.
- Take a fork and dip in cornstarch before pressing the cookies. Add sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm to the touch.
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
- Bake chilled cookies for 18-20 minutes, or until tops look set.
