Easy and delicious dessert in minutes. These vanilla cream puffs are so light and fluffy topped with powdered sugar, you will be asked to make them again and again.
Ingredients
Puffs
- 1/2 cup Butter
- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1 cup all-purpose Flour
- 4 Eggs
- Confectioners Sugar for garnish
Filling
- 2 (3.5 ounce) packages instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 tsp Vanilla Bean Paste
Instructions
Puffs
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- In a large sauce pan, bring water, salt and butter to a rolling boil. Stir in flour with a wooden spoon until the mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes, Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Drop by the teaspoon onto a non-greased baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Tops should be hard to the touch. Place puffs on rack until completely cool.
- When the puffs are cooled, cut in half and fill them with vanilla cream filling.
- Dust with confectioners sugar
Filling
- In a large bowl mix together vanilla instant pudding mix, cream, milk and vanilla bean paste. Mix until thick.
- Cover and refrigerate to set.
- Once set, fill a pastry bag with vanilla cream filling to pipe into cooled puffs.
