So easy and fast, these delicious Rosettes are a satisfying sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 cup Milk
- 2 tsp Vanilla
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- Powdered Sugar for dusting
- Canola Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a medium bowl add eggs, sugar and salt, whisk until combined. Add the milk, flour, and vanilla and mix until smooth.
- Heat the canola oil in a deep-fryer or deep, heavy saucepan to 375 degrees F.
- Heat the rosette iron in oil for 2 minutes.
- Drain excess oil from the iron and dip into the batter, 7/8 up the sides and immediately into the hot oil.
- Fry about 30 seconds or until golden. Remove to a paper towel-lined rack to cool. Gently remove from the iron with the tip of a dinner knife if needed.
- Repeat the reheating of the iron in the oil for about a minute, then dipping and frying until all the batter is used.
- Dust with powdered sugar or top with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
