So easy and fast, these delicious Rosettes are a satisfying sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 Tbsp Sugar
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • Powdered Sugar for dusting
  • Canola Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl add eggs, sugar and salt, whisk until combined. Add the milk, flour, and vanilla and mix until smooth.
  2. Heat the canola oil in a deep-fryer or deep, heavy saucepan to 375 degrees F.
  3. Heat the rosette iron in oil for 2 minutes.
  4. Drain excess oil from the iron and dip into the batter, 7/8 up the sides and immediately into the hot oil.
  5. Fry about 30 seconds or until golden. Remove to a paper towel-lined rack to cool. Gently remove from the iron with the tip of a dinner knife if needed.
  6. Repeat the reheating of the iron in the oil for about a minute, then dipping and frying until all the batter is used.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar or top with whipped cream and fresh fruit.
