Ground Beef & Mushroom Puff Pastries

Simple seasonings, huge flavor; these puff pastries stuffed with ground beef, loads of mushrooms, onions, and cheese are so easy and fast coming together. Perfect for any day of the week.
Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 Onion, diced
- 1 pound Mushrooms, diced
- 1 pound lean Ground Beef
- 2 Tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 Tbsp Fresh Thyme
- 1/2 cup Gruyere Cheese, shredded
- 2 Puff Pastry Sheets, thawed
- 1 Egg, beaten for an egg wash
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and mushrooms and sauté until slightly golden (about 5 minutes). Add the ground beef and brown until no longer pink.
- Add salt, pepper, thyme, and balsamic vinegar. Stir and cook for about 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and cool slightly before adding the cheese.
- Cut the puff pasty into 4-inch squares and place them on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
- Add 1-2 Tbsp of the beef mixture to the center of the puff pastry. Top with additional cheese then another puff pastry. Seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush with egg wash then bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
